Eight of the ten highest mountains in the world are to be found in the Kingdom of Nepal. The country extends with literally breathtaking beauty from the broad valleys of the Ganges to the summit of Mount Everest. The Himalaya specialist Ernst Steiner toured all the regions several times to document with his panorama camera the expansive landscapes, the culture and day-to-day life of the inhabitants of this fascinating country.
