Rufus Harms remembers the murder he committed 25 years ago. What he cannot remember are the events that led to his shocking crime, nor any reason why he would have killed a defenseless little girl. When a letter from the Army jogs his memory, it becomes clear to Rufus that he was not guilty. From his prison cell, Rufus files an appeal with the Supreme Court, unaware that the real killers are on to him.
