This is the 4th book of this type that I have purchased, and by far the best. Martin McKenna shows a superb eye when it comes to selecting what illustrations to include, so this book includes some of the most striking and inspirational works out there. While the artists' words on working practice do not always include the most specific detail, they focus on the more important matter: how to develop a process that gets you from blank page to finished work. For real specifics, anyone who is intent on developing their skills further will buy a manual. This book is about developing ideas and admiring the standard which young british artists are setting. This is the best in it's field.
